Micro classes consist of children with closely matched abilities being taught together in very small groups.

This type of class, the micro-class, works well for most pupils. After all, children are naturally competitive and the micro-class environment brings this out very successfully!

Learning in such a class is fun but challenging too, with pupils being positively encouraged to openly discuss their ideas to facilitate the learning of the group as a whole, as well as their own.

Careful questioning by the teacher is sensitively directed at all pupils in turn. Research shows that a child having to verbalize a concept retains the information much longer.

By having to logically and systematically explain a process, a far deeper understanding is also gained by your child. This process works on so many levels, not only does it directly nurture thinking skills, encourage logical thought processes but children are empowered and motivated too. Please note, our average class size is currently only 2.3 pupils per micro class, but our preset ceiling is a teacher to pupil ratio of 1:6.
